Be function of a team providing innovative life changing residential care to youth in need. The Behavioral Health Specialist utilizes their unique skills and understanding of trauma and mental wellness to provide direct intendance to teenage youth in a residential setting. They work as a fellow member of an interdisciplinary squad to provide comprehensive service delivery. The Behavioral Health Specialist plays a crucial role by providing and monitoring therapeutic interventions, engaging youth in handling programing and in motivating a positive peer civilisation. They are consistent in demonstrating therapeutic communication, unconditional positive regard and empathy during all interactions with youth and their families. This treatment center is a staff-secure, 24/seven rehabilitative residential facility for adolescent males. We are looking for individuals for our rotating shift work (7am-3pm one week, and then 3pm to 11pm the adjacent week, then back to the 7am-3pm and and so on). Opportunities for overtime.

Essential Functions

• Engages, inspires, and facilitates meaningful date with youth, assisting them to explore, create, and meet their own goals.
• Implementation of programme goals and objectives to promote a strengths-based, youth-centered approach to assisting residents in achieving individual goals and ultimately transitioning to a less restrictive setting.
• Responsible for supervising youth while maintaining a condom and productive environment at all times.
• Be willing to seek to empathize youth'southward unique circumstances, personal preferences and goals and incorporate them into daily activities as well as any needed crisis response to help them regain a sense of command.
• Provide individual and group skill training, supervision and support in areas such equally self-care, hygiene, community resources, and other life skills as directed past the mental health service plans.
• Provide therapeutic interventions with residents equally required and directed by individualized service plans and complete all subsequent documentation.
• In collaboration with clinical staff and clients, codify, implements and evaluates client care objectives
• Consistently utilizes trauma informed language and a strength-based approach to help our young men and women to reach their fullest potential
• Complete documentation in an electronic wellness record (EHR) as required using CareLogic software.
• Facilitate customs outings and structured activities as directed.
• Coordinate with oncoming shift regarding resident concerns, building/program needs, and whatsoever relevant issues to ensure the polish operation of the program.
• Attend seminars, training, and other educational opportunities in order to develop and advance professional skills and abilities.
• Participate in all scheduled staff meetings, supervision sessions, and other departmental and bureau meetings.

Qualifications:

• High Schoolhouse Diploma/GED (Bachelors or higher is preferred)
• Experience in social services, juvenile justice and/or residential care a plus
• Various scheduling options bachelor
• Must be 21 years of age or older
• Bilingual and/or Sign Linguistic communication proficiency a plus
• Valid commuter's license and proficient driving tape
